Hampshire Senior Ladies friendly match V Guernsey – Monday 25th April 2022

It was wonderful to welcome Guernsey Senior Ladies to Corhampton Golf Club for our first friendly match of the season, particularly as this fixture has not taken place for the past two years due to COVID.
Even though this is a Seniors match, it is a tradition that Guernsey often field a couple of juniors to give them experience of mainland golf courses. The two juniors who flew in on the morning played well and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of matchplay.
All the matches were very close at the halfway mark and results could have gone either way at that point. The course was in excellent condition with the weather sunny at times together with a cold wind. Hampshire Senior Ladies prevailed to win 6-1.
Our thanks go to Corhampton GC for hosting our opening friendly match and for the excellent hospitality.
