Junior Projection Squad

Our Projection programme is for girls aged 12-18 with 25.0 handicap index or below (as at 1st Jan each year). To join the programme, girls must also have participated in Hampshire Junior competitions or taken part previously in Hampshire training.

In 2024 the programme will include:

• 4 squad days (Feb, April, July & October) 
  Squad days will comprise of interactive sessions to help girls with preparation for playing in county or club events and will cover topics such as rules, course management, nutrition and fitness. All sessions will include 18 holes of golf – scores will be recorded on the EG app for handicap purposes and will count towards an Order of Merit during the year.

• 4 sessions of group coaching with one of our HLG appointed coaches
  Group coaching sessions will be held in March, May, June and September to complement the 4 squad days.
  Group coaching session dates will be confirmed and posted here by end of January 2024.
• Competitions
  As part of the programme, Performance girls would be expected to participate in our 3 main competitions: Spring Meeting, Junior Championship and Autumn Meeting. 
• Matches
  Girls from this squad may be asked for their availability to represent Hampshire in Junior friendly matches including our annual triangular vs. Kent and Sussex on Saturday 13th April.

• Order of Merit
  A handicap order of merit will be run during the year. At the end of the year, the handicap winner and runner up will be awarded prizes at the end of season prize giving. Projection girls will also be entered into the scratch Order of Merit. Full details available here >
