Colours will be awarded retrospectively, from 1st May 2019. Players must accumulate a total of 15 points (where at least half the points are playing points rather than appearance points) to receive their colours.
Players who have previously received their County 1st team colours will not be eligible to receive County 2nd team colours. Players in receipt of their County 2nd team colours are still eligible for County 1st team colours, provided they meet the required qualifying criteria.
Playing points are awarded as follows:
Winner of the County Championship 3 points
Runner up 1 point
Stovold Trophy matches 2 points for each Singles win
1 point for each Singles half
1 point for each Foursomes win
½ point for each Foursomes half
A player will also be awarded 1 appearance point for each year that she is selected and plays in at least one Stovold Trophy match (regardless of how many Stovold Trophy matches she plays that year).
The County Vice Captain (as County 2nd team Captain) can award a discretionary point in exceptional circumstances. Consideration may be given to players who have given good service to the County, played regularly and provided good team support, but have not gained the requisite number of points to receive their colours.
