Hampshire Ladies Golf Veterans Championship

101 Ladies arrived at Rowlands Castle Golf Club to compete for the 2023 HLG Veterans Championship, 54 for Div 1 and 47 for Div 2. It was slightly chilly, although dry for the early starters but it soon warmed up; the breeze however remained all day. The course was in lovely condition and the greens were quite slick with one or two cheeky pin positions to test us. The quick greens and the wind meant that many ladies found it a tough day, which was reflected in the scoring but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Rowlands Castle really looked after us and we all had a superb lunch.
Thank you to all the starters, referees and to Pauline Davis and Jane Scott (County President) who manned the scoring table all day.
