HLG Seniors Championship- Army Golf Club 24th September

After the dismal washout of the 30th July when the first playing of the HLG Seniors Championship had to be abandoned, the replay on 24th September dawned bright and clear. This was much to the relief of all concerned and only possible due to the generosity of the Army Golf Club and longstanding Secretary Richard Lloyd.

We had sadly lost some of the original participants due to other commitments but were able to accommodate some 16 extra ladies, who were not able to play in July. So a slightly reduced but still substantial field took part.

Due to the date being so much later in the year we had an early 0800 start which would enable us to finish in good light.

The Ladies Section once again provided us with a team of starters including the Ladies Captain Suzie Greenwood [ before her tee time]. That was a great help in keeping the show on time.

Some really excellent scoring.
