HLG and Hampshire Mixed Greensomes- Alresford 9th June 2025

On a sparkling morning , with the Hampshire Ladies Golf banners fluttering in the breeze, some 116 members of Hampshire Clubs gathered to play the very popular Mixed Greensomes event. The day was hosted by Alresford Golf Club and from our arrival at 0645 it was clear that preparations were fully in hand. The greens staff had just finished cutting the greens surrounds, and they were now ironing all the greens. From 7 am players were starting to arrive and the helpful catering team began to roll out bacon rolls and cups of tea and coffee.

It was clear as the cards began to come in, that the course was proving a fine challenge. The 17th and 18th holes in particular were testing the abilities. 

The  winning score of 42 points was posted by Debbie and Sandy Burrell of Weybrook Park Golf Club

Our thanks go to the staff and members of Alresford Golf Club for providing us with a wonderful day of golf.  Prizes were presented by the County President , Mary Rook, herself  a long standing member of Alresford Golf Club.
