A Grateful Thanks to Petersfield Golf Club
A heartfelt thank you goes to Petersfield Golf Club for hosting this year’s Spring Meeting. The club’s commitment to junior golf was evident in every detail, from the immaculate course conditions to the warm welcome extended to all players and visitors. A very big thank you to Ladies' Secretary Margaret for starting all the girls off and to Jackie Carter for the extra special touches she put on the day, providing each of the girls with a welcome note and chocolate from the Ladies' Section.
Special appreciation is due to the club’s office team, whose efficient organisation together with our competitions team led by Anne and supported by Pauline, ensured the event ran smoothly. Thanks also to the kitchen staff, who provided a lovely meal for the girls after golf. The collective effort from all at Petersfield made the day a memorable experience for the girls and their families.
Celebrating the Prize Winners
Congratulations to all the prize winners, a lot of hard work and practice paid off for many on the score card. A special mention to those girls who were joining us at their very first Hampshire event. We loved having you and we hope this will be the first of many events that we welcome you to in the future. Every participant should be proud of their achievements, as the standard of play was exceptionally high this year.
Our nett meeting winner, who recorded a remarkable 42 points and secured the trophy was Abigail Dymott. A superb level par round which is just reward for all the hard work and dedication Abby has applied over recent months to improve her game and is also a testament to her skill and composure under pressure.
Other prize winners were also recognised for their efforts, including our nett runner up, Emily Ashley, 3rd place nett, Nancy Neville together with our gross meeting winner Hatty Richardson and gross runner up, Georgia Richardson. Each of our prize winners demonstrated great determination, resilience and sportsmanship out on the course and played the game with the positive spirit of junior golf in Hampshire.

A Day to Remember
The Hampshire Junior Girls Spring Meeting at Petersfield was not just a competition, but a celebration of the game and the next generation of female golfers. The sun shone brightly, the course was at its best, and the atmosphere was filled with encouragement and camaraderie.
Events like these are only possible with the generous support of host clubs, dedicated staff, and the enthusiasm of the players and their families. On behalf of Hampshire Ladies Golf, sincere thanks once again to Petersfield Golf Club and everyone involved for making the day such a resounding success. A big thank you to all the Hampshire Ladies Golf officials who dedicate their time to making these events so enjoyable and successful, especially our on-course referees Carron and Jackie and competitions team Anne and Pauline.
We look forward to seeing even more girls taking part in future events and continuing to enjoy the wonderful game of golf in Hampshire.
